Ice Man

The funny/ fun thing about customizing photo frames is that it runs from baby names to super heroes. And when I say super heroes I mean even the not so popular ones. A recently engaged friend of mine asked me for an Ice-Man super hero photo frame for her fiancé. I didn’t know there was an Ice-Man superhero but apparently X-Men has one.  

I had to get my sister's help on this one. She painted the Ice-Man. 

Four little photo frames

My sister-in-law bought me a bunch of stickers from Canada. They are just so ridiculously cute and I decided to use them on a photo frame for her soon to be born baby. 

With cuteness and a baby involved, I couldn't stop at just one frame. So I made four little ones instead.

And tied them all together.

Rose Cake

Someone actually ordered my cake… as in paid real money to eat what I bake!

I decided to try i am baker’s rose cake. Well… sort of anyway. I baked two chocolate cakes and stacked them and covered them with buttercream frosting. I then added on small pink roses using the swirl technique. It was so simple and fun to try. 

 It wasn't perfect and my crumb coating needed ton of help. The cake ended up being a little ‘taller’ than I had hoped for... but that just means more cake to munch on right?
